Figure 14: A 28-year-old female patient retroviral disease positive defaulted on highly active antiretroviral therapy. Patient on subsequent follow-up, presented with a severe headache and confusion. On examination, neck stiffness and Kernig's sign were positive. Clinical diagnosis of meningitis was made. Postcontrast axial computed tomographic images showed exuberant enhancement of the basal cisterns, as well as the leptomeninges, and the Sylvian fissures, in keeping with tuberculosis meningitis
